Patrick is a litigation attorney at SBR Law Group LLC. He joined the firm in 2025, bringing over five years of experience litigating cases in Wisconsin’s state and federal courts to SBR’s litigation practice group. Patrick concentrates on commercial, noncompete, insurance, tort, real estate, construction, labor and employment, and other complex business matters, and assists SBR’s experienced team on representing clients through all stages of litigation, from pre-suit counseling, exploration of alternative dispute resolution by mediation and/or arbitration, through trial and appeal.

Patrick’s growing track record of courtroom success, consisting of successes in trial, dispositive motions, and
appellate matters, includes:

• Obtaining a Wisconsin Court of Appeals opinion affirming summary judgment in favor of commercial subcontractor and general contractor based upon application of Wisconsin’s loaned employee doctrine.
• Obtaining a Wisconsin Court of Appeals opinion affirming summary judgment in favor of nonprofit organization in multi-million-dollar damages action based upon application of Wisconsin’s recreational immunity doctrine.
• Obtaining a Wisconsin Court of Appeals opinion affirming summary judgment in favor of insurer upon finding that no coverage was granted by policy’s insuring agreement and that policy’s intra-insured exclusion precluded coverage otherwise available.
• Obtaining summary judgment and dismissal of professional liability action based on exclusion of opposing party’s critical liability expert on Daubert grounds.
• Obtaining summary judgment in favor of restaurant establishment upon trial court’s reconsideration following successful motion to compel determinative statements of non-party witnesses improperly withheld by opposing party during initial summary judgment hearing.
• Obtaining summary judgment in favor of insurer dismissing breach of contract and bad faith claims upon finding that policy endorsement precluded any coverage grant provided in policy’s standard insuring agreement.
• Obtained protective order barring client’s sensitive records from evidence upon trial court’s reconsideration of prior ruling compelling production of records in discovery.
• Obtaining, as co-counsel, a unanimous jury verdict of no liability for employee for damages arising from a workplace dispute.
• Obtaining court trial defense verdict of no liability for automobile shop for damages arising under services contract.
• Obtaining court trial defense verdict of no liability for insurer for damages arising under insurance contract.

Patrick earned his J.D. from Marquette University Law School where he was a member of the Marquette Sports Law Review and was inducted into the Pro Bono Honor Society for service to the Marquette Volunteer Legal Clinic.  He has been involved as a member of several legal and professional organizations including the Wisconsin Defense Counsel and the Defense Research Institute. Patrick is a member of the Wisconsin bar and holds admissions from the Wisconsin Supreme Court, the Eastern District of Wisconsin and the Western District of Wisconsin.
